9th meeting of the Global Alliance to Monitor Learning (UNESCO)

Experts from the Center for International Cooperation in Education Development took part in the ninth meeting of the Global Alliance to Monitor Learning (GAML) under the auspices of UNESCO. The meeting of the GAML was held remotely on November 23, 2023. Followed by the online meeting of the Technical Cooperation Group on SDG4.

The Center is constantly involved in global projects and initiatives to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals until 2030. The Center pays special attention to those international initiatives that are aimed at solving global problems of ensuring equality in access to education and the effectiveness of education. In 2022, the Center continued to participate in the work of the UN advisory bodies and in the work of international expert groups.

The Global Alliance for Monitoring Learning (GAML) is an initiative to support national strategies for measuring learning and ensuring international accountability for achieving the 2030 Agenda under its 4th goal on education. Led by the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS), GAML brings together representatives of UN Member States, international experts and partners in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda: donors, civil society, UN agencies and non-governmental businesses. Through participation in the GAML Alliance, all stakeholders have the opportunity to influence the monitoring of learning outcomes in the framework of achieving the Sustainable Development Goal on Education (SDG) 4.

CICED is the only Russian organization that has been a member of the Alliance since its launch.
